Team Physio Dave Milner has reported that the two players, Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala and Knowledge ‘Smiling Assassin’ Musona are undergoing medical examination to determine the extent of their injuries.

‘Shabba’ was substituted in the 59th minute while the ‘Smiling Assassin’ was substituted in the 90th minute when Chiefs beat Free State Stars on penalties. Musona fell over his shoulder in the process of scoring the equaliser in the tightly contested TKO QF game. ‘Shabba’ was marking his return from a two weeks absence due to an Adductor muscle injury.

“We are examining the extent of the injuries to Musona and Tshabalala. We will be guided by the MRI scan results to determine if Musona will undergo a late fitness test before the Derby on Saturday.” Milner reported.

Kaizer Motaung Jnr missed the TKO QF due to a knee injury and is still under examination. Jimmy Jambo is on a long recovery route but has started light training with the rest of the Team.
