“We have a few injury issues to deal with after the Chippa United game,” reports Kaizer Chiefs’ first team physiotherapist David Milner. “The match resulted in three players getting injuries.”
Ramahlwe Mphahlele was substituted 14 minutes into the game with hamstring problems.
“Rama will take seven days to recover from the hamstring,” Milner explained. “We will be monitoring him over the next few days.”
Chiefs ended the match playing with 10-men after Erick Mathoho got injured when the substitutions were already exhausted.
“Tower had a blow to the head and thereafter he felt dizzy,” the physiotherapist comments on Mathoho having to leave the pitch. “He will be out for seven to ten days.”
Teenage Hadebe, meanwhile, injured his ankle. “He is suspected to have aggravated his ankle. We will assess in the next four days.”
The Zimbabwean defender, however, would have missed the Dikwena game anyway due to having collected four yellow cards.
Chiefs will host Platinum Stars in an Absa Premiership fixture on Sunday, 15 April (kick-off is at 15:00).
