Kaizer Chiefs supporters were worried on Saturday evening when Tsepo Masilela appeared to be limping off the pitch when he was substituted in the 77th minute of the thrill-a-minute win over Chippa United.
The medical team has cleared the fullback and will be ready to play in the next match. “Tsepo has a thigh strain,” reports team physiotherapist Dave Milner. “He is expected to be fine in the coming days. He will require some rest to help him with recovery to full training.”
The team schedule has been tight with four games played in the last two weeks. “We are currently getting the bodies back into shape,” commented coach Steve Komphela while watching his team going through some exercises on Tuesday morning. “We will work in steps to get the lads ready for the next match. It is not easy but, they (pointing at the players) look very good.”
