Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala scored the only goal of the match as Bafana Bafana emerged as winners away to Equatorial Guinea 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. Bafana Bafana who have been relegated to 85th in FIFA World Rankings last week finished second position in Group Four and CAF has confirmed that the 1996 African Cup of Nations Champions will definitely not take any part in the African showpiece to be hosted by Angola in 2010.

It was Siphiwe Tshabalala’s second goal in 21 appearances for Bafana Bafana.

“Shabba” and his Bafana teammates will now meet the rejuvenated Black Stars of Ghana who beat Lesotho 3-0 to qualify for the second phase of 2010 Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier.

The game might see Tshabalala coming face to face with his Ghanaian teammate, Jonathan Quartey who sat out for the Lesotho game.
