Dominic Isaacs has told kaizerchiefs.com that his individual performance is the last thing on his mind ahead of what promises to be a thriller on Saturday, 02 May 2009 when Kaizer Chiefs visit Orlando Pirates at Coca-Cola Park.

Kick off is at 16h00.

Buoyant “Domza” has been on top form since pulling the black and gold jersey early April against Free State Stars. On Thursday last week against Sundowns, Domza delivered a five star performance and walked away with Man of the Match Award as Chiefs completed a double of rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns this season.

Coach, Muhsin Ertugral was unapologetic as he called Isaacs, “the best defender in the country”.

Isaacs and company have not conceded a goal since 14 March in 2-1 league win against Bidvest Wits who only scored in the last minute of the game.

Chiefs were back at training this morning in preparation for the upcoming Soweto derby.

“I want to do well for the team and for myself, a clean sheet and three points is all that matters,” he said

“This will be my first Soweto Derby since joining Chiefs but it will be nothing new to face Orlando Pirates on Saturday.”

“We played well as a team on Thursday last week but now that is in the past. Three points against Orlando Pirates will really go a long way in terms of boosting our chances to finish in a highest possible position in the league,” added Isaacs.

Chiefs could move to 2nd spot with 51 points, 4 points behind leaders Supersport United if they win on Saturday.
