Bernard ‘Hond’ Parker has been on a scintillating form recently with 4 goals scored after 7 PSL league games played. ‘Hond’ goes into the Ajax Cape Town v Kaizer Chiefs clash on Tuesday, as the current joint leading goal scorer in the league.
“Ajax is a problematic team. They are full of youngsters who are full of energy and excitement. No doubt we are expecting a tough encounter on Tuesday night. They will be all over us.
We will approach them just like we do with other games. At least we know what to expect from them and like all my teammates we just want to win on the day,” commented the upbeat Parker.
The Amakhosi go into the encounter in Cape Town sitting on 6th position after 7 games in the PSL league table. Chiefs trail the current log leaders, Moroka Swallows, who have played 8 games, by 3 points. Parker had the following to say about their league standing;
“We would like to stay on the top with the other teams and keep being on top. Personally, I will focus on the game and look at contributing to the overall performance of the team. Goals will come if I focus on the game,” said Parker.
In the past 10 league encounters in the PSL league games, Chiefs beat Ajax 6 times, lost 3 times and 1 game ended in a draw. All the 3 losses to Ajax were suffered in Cape Town.
The game is scheduled to take place at Cape Town Stadium. Kickoff is at 19:30. Gates open at 17:00 and tickets range from R40 to R80 at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers nationwide.
