The Amakhosi will be turning their focus back to the TKO Semifinal clash as scheduled to take place on Saturday, 23 November 2013. Chiefs have been involved in a variety of activities during Fifa week. The First Team was engaged in the Botswana Challenge; the Chiefs legends were involved at the Liverpool Legends Tour to SA and were involved as nominee in the category of Team of the Year at the 2013 SA Sports Awards.

The TKO semifinal clash will be played at the Kaizer Chiefs home ground, the Calabash, FNB Stadium. The kickoff is at 20:15. Team Captain Itumeleng Khune admits that he will have to switch over speedily to continue with what he termed “work at hand”.

“I have to switch over to the Club work without any delay. This is where my ‘bread and butter’ is. In order for me to be voted as Sports Star of the Year and Drum’s Most Admired Sporting Personality, I have to first do a good job for my employer, Kaizer Chiefs. I have no choice but to give good performances for my Team to stand a chance to be selected for Bafana Bafana;” said the Amakhosi Goalkeeper and Captain. Khune bagged the ‘Man of the Match’ award in the Bafana Bafana 1-0 win over Spain on Tuesday night.

“Playing against Platinum Stars this weekend in the TKO is going to be a massive game. They have proven to be one of the tough teams in the league. We cannot afford to be complacent. We cannot go there and think it will be a walk in the park. They gave us lots of trouble last season in the league.

This season we have already got a win against them in the league but that is history now, Saturday will be a new ball game. We (Bernard Parker and Siphiwe Tshabalala) have returned to the Team from Bafana Bafana and we were reunited with our teammates this morning;” Khune was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com already hard at work preparing for Saturday’s encounter.

Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers countrywide at R40 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 12.
