“I was happy to score,” reacts captain Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala about his magnificent goal against Free State Stars on Saturday evening.
“Above all, because it helped us win the match.” The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder also picked up the Man of the Match award after the 4-0 win as cherry on top of an excellent performance.
“I'm happy that the fans loved it,” adds ‘Shabba’ modestly. “I will cherish that goal, as it was indeed special. However, scoring is always a team effort and I am only a part of the team.”
“I got the ball from Bernard Parker and volleyed it straight into the top-left corner from about 35 yards,” Tshabalala reflects with a sparkle in his eye.
“It is great to lead such a talented side. We are a team and we are Driven to Excel.”
“We are ready for the next game,” remarks Tshabalala about Chiefs’ upcoming fixture against Polokwane City. "The mood in the camp is excellent.”
