Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune can’t promise that Raja Casablanca will be beaten tomorrow, but he does stress that “it will be a great match”.

Amakhosi face the Moroccan team in the second leg of the CAF Champions League’s first round in Casablanca on Sunday evening, kick-off at 19:00 (20:00, South African time).

Raja won their away game 1-0.

However, despite Chiefs going into Sunday’s game with a disadvantage, due to that loss in Durban, the goalkeeper, like the rest of the team, has been in high spirits since arriving in Morocco.

“I am expecting a tough encounter,” Khune predicts. “We are playing away. As players we will also have to cope with the flares in the stadium and the laser lights being pointed at us by the crowd. However, if we, as a team, can stick to the game plan, we certainly have a chance to put one over them.”

Raja have lost their last three matches at home and, as a result, they have dropped to eighth position on the log of the Moroccan league table.

“We are definitely not out of it yet,” the goalkeeper confirms. “It will be tough, it will be hard, but I still see a chance for us to progress to the next round of the Champions League.”
