Dubbed Ryan Giggs of Kaizer Chiefs, Josta ‘JD’ Dladla warned against complacency when Chiefs take on Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout Last 16 on Saturday, 5 October 2013 in Polokwane.
“It is going to be tricky just like any Cup game. You lose the game - you are out. Most people look at Polokwane City as PSL newcomers but now that they are in the PSL it means they have earned their stripes. We have to take them serious as they played well in their previous league game. They will be on a high and as the old saying goes ‘playing against Chiefs they do not need motivation’. If I get a nod to play I will give my all, and if not I will stay positive. If I don’t get a chance to play I will support the guys and wait for my turn. It is all teamwork and we are determined to advance to the next stage of the competition,” said ‘JD’ speaking at TKO Media Open Day.
‘JD’ has shown glimpses of his past excellence and recently displayed brilliance which earned him a ‘Man of the Match’ in the league game against Platinum Stars played on the 21st of September 2013 and coming on as a second half substitute against Orlando Pirates in MTN8 Cup semifinal game played on the 24th of September.
The game will be played at Peter Mokaba Stadium. Kickoff is at 20:15.
