“We have a full squad to choose a winning combination from,” says coach Giovanni Solinas ahead of tonight’s MTN8 quarter-final. “In comparison to the squad of the previous games, it is only Bhongolethu Jayiya who’s out with flu.”
Kaizer Chiefs will tackle Free State Stars in the much anticipated MTN8 quarter-final match at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening (kick-off is at 18:00).
“The approach will be more or less the same,” adds Solinas. “We need to play well. This is in or out. It’s crucial that we all show commitment.”
The Kaizer Chiefs coach plays the cards close to his chest and it will be interesting to see if there will be any changes to the starting line-up compared to the last two league matches.
The Italian shares the following, “We will refresh the team a bit, because we have noticed that we need some fresh legs for this game.”
Solinas comments, “Free State Stars play good football. They are a fighting team but we will efficiently react to that.”
Teenage Hadebe was seen jogging on the sidelines during the pre-match training session on Friday afternoon. “Teenage is recovering well, but he won’t be ready for this one,” concludes Solinas.
The match has all the ingredient of a tantalising cup game.
The tickets for this MTN8 fixture are on sale at TicketPro (Spar, CNA, JET and Edgars) at R60 for adults.
No tickets will be sold at the stadium.
Parking will be for free.
