Bafana Bafana no. 1 Itumeleng Khune will join legend Neil Tovey and current teammate Siphiwe Tshabalala if he takes the field on Saturday evening when Bafana Bafana square up against Algeria for the third time at Orlando Stadium (Kickoff 20:15).

The current Kaizer Chiefs no. 1 and Captain, Khune who made his debut for Bafana Bafana back in September 2008 against Zimbabwe has represented the country on 49 occasions and will reach a half century if he is selected by Coach, Gordon Igesund. The match will mark Igesund’s last competitive match before the AFCON kicks off next Saturday at the National Stadium just outside Soweto.

Khune will reach 50 Caps as Kaizer Chiefs player and will join former Bafana Bafana Captain, Neil Tovey who played 52 times for Bafana Bafana and Siphiwe Tshabalala who has represented his country on 62 occasions as Kaizer Chiefs players.

Khune regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation has held on to the Bafana Bafana no. 1 jersey since 2008 and has been a key figure in the team.
