Jimmy Jambo is likely to be side-lined for the rest of the season. This is after he was fouled by former Kaizer Chiefs now Bidvest Wits midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha. Nengomasha received straight marching orders for the foul towards the end of the game in the Telkom Knockout Challenge game that Chiefs lost 3-2.

Kaizer Chiefs medical team confirmed this morning that Jambo was seen by Orthopaedic Surgeon. He will await the scan but at the moment it looks like ACL and posterolateral corner torn. He will undergo surgery this week and will likely miss the rest of the season.

During the league game between the two sides Siboniso Gaxa was badly injured after an overzealous tackle by Wits’ James Mayinga.
