The Ekurhuleni region has a lot to be proud about. Not only are they a hard-working Kaizer Chiefs supporters region, but they are the first to have a female chairperson.

“Jeanette Mahlangu is a truly dedicated leader who is committed to serve the supporters of her region,” comments Amakhosi Supporters Relationship Manager Tracy Williams on Mahlangu’s election to chairperson. “She gives tirelessly of her time and her effort, her love and her passion for the Kaizer Chiefs Brand are immense.”

The general meeting in Ekurhuleni was attended by Buhle Park, KwaThema, Langaville, Nigel, Ratanda, Vosloorus, Reiger Park, Thokoza and Katlehong branches. About 200 supporters attended the meeting dressed up in the famous Gold & Black.

In a recent region general meeting hosted by Langaville, which was well supported by branches in the region, Mahlangu told supporters: “I belong to you. And you, you belong to me too.”

These are words from a song that she played at the first official meeting of the Ekurhuleni region about a year ago.

Mahlangu emphasized at the time what this statement means to her, explaining that the words of the song highlight how she feels about the Amakhosi supporters in the region:
