Jess Motaung pays tribute to Kroonstad Branch

Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung paid a glowing tribute to the Chairperson, Billy Kokami and Kroonstad Branch for the work they are doing with the community.



The Kroonstad Branch, one of the fastest growing branches in the country has 370 active card carrying members.



The Executive Mayor, Jihad Mohapi welcomed the delegation from the Club led by Jessica Motaung accompanied by Corporate Communications Manager, Vina Maphosa, players Jimmy Tau, Jimmy Jambo and veteran goalkeeper, Arthur Bartman.



Kaizer Chiefs fans wearing their gold and black came in numbers to the Reception Hall in the offices of the Executive Mayor.



Jessica Motaung commented; "What I see here is leadership."



"I would like to congratulate Kroonstad Branch for the wonderful job. It is also good to see that women are fully represented in the Executive.



"We have brought players here today to connect with the community on a day we are connecting with the spirit of Jesus Christ.



"We recognise that there are those who are less fortunate than us. It is then our responsibility to give back.



"We are also grateful to hear that the branch is commemorating our former player, Jeffery Ntuka by a soccer tournament.



Motaung added by urging the Supporters to continue supporting the team; "We are Reclaiming the Glory and let's work together and show the players some love.



The Executive Mayor, Mohapi who revealed to the gathered supporters that his "blood is gold and black," said;



"We are honoured today to welcome the biggest sporting institution in the country, Kaizer Chiefs to our Municipality.



"We have always had a good relationship with Kaizer Chiefs and back in 2008 we hosted the legends here, the likes of Ryder Mofokeng.



"As the Municipality we support the Social Programmes of the Supporters Club as they are aimed at giving back to the community. We are committed to this partnership," added the Mayor.



Branch Chairperson Billy Kokami in return promised the players that they will support them through and through; "We are behind the team through thick and thin.



"Your (players) presence here means a lot to the Supporters and we will continue rallying behind the Club on their efforts to uproot the boo brigade behaviour on the stands" concluded Kokami.



The formal session was followed by picture opportunity for the fans with the delegation from the Club.



Then all roads led to local hospital, Paediatric Ward (Children's Ward) at Boitumelo Hospital.



The delegation from the Club gave love and merchandise to the parents and children who were visibly delighted to see Kaizer Chiefs.



All the parties were in union to declare the day of collaboration for a good cause a success.



Once again the spirit of Love and Peace conquered.
