The combative midfielder has now set his sights on starting his third game in succession when Chiefs host Vasco Da Gama in an Absa Premiership game to be staged at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after Monday’s early training session at the Chiefs village in Naturena Dladla said, “it has been good to start the last two games and thankfully we have won them. I am hoping to hold onto my place for this weekend’s clash with Vasco Da Gama, hopefully I can give my input into what can be another strong and successful team performance.”
Dladla believes that despite Chiefs having reached the Telkom Knockout Cup final where they will face Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates on the 4th of December The Amakhosi’s main focus this week in on the fixture against Vasco, if they wish to keep themselves in the league race victory against the Capetonians will allow the to do that.
As Dladla further added, “it is a great achievement for us to have reached the final, many players do not get to play in a Cup final their entire career to play in a second successive on is fantastic. Right now the final is not in our plans, we are thinking only about Vasco.
We need to separate our league and cup ambitions, winning on Saturday will keep us in the league race, after our loss to Santos in the league a few weeks ago we cannot afford to lose another league game.”
The Chiefs midfielder in concluded explained that with a host of fixtures to come till the league takes a recess in late December winning every game is a must for the the Amakhosi saying. “We have lots of games around six till the December recess, we have to take it a game at a time and something that we have done well so far is also to treat each game as important and not down grade the importance of any match. If we stay focused we will carry on getting good results.”
