There will be a Kaizer Chiefs Vodacom Roadshow in Khayelitsha today, Friday, 18 December. Please all come and join the Amakhosi in the Cape of Love & Peace. It will be at Site C, Taxi Rank, from 12:00 to 17:00. Several Chiefs players will attend the Roadshow.

“We are happy to have Kaizer Chiefs in town,” comments Johannes Mokubung from the Amakhosi Supporters Branches in the Western Cape. “It is an exciting and historic moment to witness Chiefs play home matches at the Cape Town Stadium.”

Amakhosi were joined yesterday by their partner Vodacom at the Gugulethu Mall, as part of the culture of two massive brands reaching out. “This is incredible,” Mokubung enthuses, “many lucky supporters walked away with some fantastic prizes.”

“Gugulethu is an historic area in the Western Cape and Chiefs are part of South Africa’s storyline,” says Gareth Bloor from Cape Town City’s Mayco.

Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung was accompanied at the Roadshow in Gugulethu by Itumeleng Khune, Morgan Gould, Daniel Cardoso and Philani Cele.

Amakhosi are in the Mother City to play a crucial Absa Premiership fixture against high riding BidVest Wits on Saturday, 19 December (kick-off is at 18:00).

“We are telling every tourist visiting the Cape that they can’t return home without having watched Kaizer Chiefs play this Saturday,” Bloor adds. “We hope to see people turn op in big numbers to fill the iconic Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.”

“The journey continues,” Motaung looks ahead to Saturday. “The people have made a call and here we are, responding to extend the Brand by bringing our services closer and to connect.” Chiefs’ Marketing Director refers to the KC Mobile, KC Insurance and KC Retail services that are part of the Roadshow.

The excitement continues on Friday, at Khayelitsha, Site C, Taxi Rank, from 12:00 to 17:00.

Meanwhile, tickets for the match are selling fast at R60 at Computicket (there is Computicket at the Waterfront, close to the stadium) and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide.
