Kaizer Chiefs Football Club would like to extend warmest congratulations to the Kingdom of Morocco on being awarded the rights to host the headquarters of the African Club Association (ACA). The Royal Moroccan Football Association signed a memorandum of understanding with ACA president Hersi Said, aiming to host the headquarters of the association in the Kingdom.

The announcement was made in Morocco, coinciding with the Africa Cup of Nations draw. The establishment of the ACA headquarters in Morocco will provide a solid foundation for the implementation of the organisation's work.

"We welcome the decision to establish the ACA headquarters in Morocco," said Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung. "This move will undoubtedly strengthen the ACA's presence on the continent and provide a hub for African club football development."

Morocco was selected as the host country ahead of Algeria and South Africa, who had also expressed interest. However, with Morocco's successful bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, the decision to support the North African nation was seen as a strategic move.

"We believe that hosting the ACA headquarters in Morocco is the right call, especially with the country gearing up to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup," Motaung added, "This partnership will undoubtedly benefit African club football and provide a platform for the growth of the game on the continent."

The ACA headquarters will be housed at the state-of-the-art King Mohammed VI National Football Centre.

Kaizer Chiefs look forward to working closely with the ACA and exploring opportunities for collaboration and growth.
