With Women’s Month underway, woman who attended the Absa Premiership encounter between Kaizer Chiefs and Jomo Cosmos at FNB Stadium got the surprise of their lives when they were handed Roses by members of the non playing squad and popular group, Teargas.

In line with August, a month that celebrates women in the country, ladies were selected from the stands and were handed roses.

Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung speaking to kaizerchiefs.com explained the initiative, “This was an opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs players to celebrate the Women’s Month. To acknowledge the role played by women in particular our supporters. Women young and old need to be celebrated for their strength, courage and inspiration and at Kaizer Chiefs we celebrate them.”

Players, Sthembiso Ngcobo, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, George Lebese, Gerald Sibeko, and Abel Metsimetsi were at hand to present the ladies with roses.

Elisa Letsoalo (62) of Nellmapius Branch was on Cloud 9 following the presentation at half time, “I have been attending games for decades now and never received a rose at the stadium. Words cannot express how I feel right now…I want to thank the Club for such initiative.”
