With Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung, MD Bheki Shongwe, Marketing Director Jessica Motaung, Brand Manager Dara Carroll including Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic watching from the stands the 4 year olds took full advantage of the proceedings, running and kicking the ball about.

“I never had an opportunity at my age to interact with football stars and this is a great opportunity for them. It is nice working with kids but you need to be patient. I just showed them some basics and we did a couple of drills including push-ups,” said defender, Tlou Molekwane speaking to kaizerchiefs.com.

Striker, Jose Torrealba who seemed comfortable working with the kids expressed his love for the young ones, “I love kids and today I had an opportunity to work with girls it was great,” he said revealing that he only has a son, Diego (11).

The parent of one of the children, Lydia Prader was grateful to the Club for providing such a platform; “It is an amazing opportunity for the young ones. It is a big thing for them - as they sit in front of television to watch football and today they were here with footballers playing. Kids love to be out on the ground and play,” she said watching her son going through goalkeeping drills with Arthur Bartman.

There were also familiar faces on the pitch as Jessica’s twins (Kenneth and Donald) also graced the occasion as they are also going to the school. The boys had an opportunity to get coaching tips from uncle, Kaizer Motaung Jr.

Principal Barbara Eaton revealed on how the initiative came about, “My colleague Natasha spoke to Jessica (Motaung) whose kids attend at our school. It is fantastic for them to be here today just before the World Cup. Today we brought four year olds and tomorrow (Thursday) we will bring an older group and also on Friday,” said a visibly elated principal.

Natasha, a teacher from the school added, “Jessica, being a awesome person, made this all possible and we are grateful. We cannot wait to come here tomorrow with the second group,” said Natasha.
