As we approach the festive season, Kaizer Chiefs launched ‘The Amakhosi Festive Vibe’ where activations with sponsors are lined up from Jabulani this coming weekend to Durban on the 20th December 2011.

Kaizerchiefs.com spoke to Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung about the concept:

What is the Amakhosi Festive Vibe concept all about?

Jessica Motaung:
The Amakhosi Festive Vibe is our campaign for the festive season and it gives us more of an opportunity to connect with our supporters ahead of the festive season.

It is time for us to share the Amakhosi Giving Spirit with them and continue to promote all our communication properties.

It is about fun, celebrations and giving. The supporters will have an opportunity to win lots of prizes starting this coming Saturday at Jabulani Mall.

The ‘Amakhosi Festive Vibe’ is also about taking the brand to the people who have been supporting the team through thick and thin.

Why Jabulani Mall?

Jessica Motaung:
Our roots remain in Soweto; it was in the same township where what is now the biggest sporting brand in the country, Kaizer Chiefs was born on the 7th January 1970. We are excited as the Club to go to Jabulani Mall where we will be able to interact with the community of Jabulani and everyone from the township.

Jabulani Mall Management will share these festivities with our fans in the local community. Through this we hope to re-establish strategic partnerships in Soweto.

Will there be players for the fans to interact with during the Campaign?

Jessica Motaung:
Yes, our players will feature a lot during the campaign to interact with our supporters. The link between supporters and the players is very important part of what we are doing.

What other events are lined up for this Campaign?

Jessica Motaung:
We have Roadshows lined up in Pretoria from Thursday, 01 December – Saturday 03 December 2011.

We will again be going back to Jabulani on the weekend of the 10th December to participate in the amazing race ahead of our last home game of 2011 against Free State Stars at Soccer City Complex, Soweto on Saturday, 17 December 2011 at 20:15.

In between the activations; we will be hosting people at Club’s HQ, The Village in Naturena. We have this year hosted children from various institutions, University of Pretoria, and on a daily basis we receive requests from people around the country to come through to the village – we are excited we will be hosting a few again during this time.

We are excited that our sponsors Vodacom and Hollard will be working in conjunction with us in making sure this campaign is not only a success but a memorable one for our fans.

Where can people get updates about the campaign?

Jessica Motaung:
We will have regular updates on our website; www.kaizerchiefs.com; our Facebook page (http://facebook.com/kaizerchiefs), Twitter (http://twitter.com/Kaizer_Chiefs; YouTube (http://youtube.com/KaizerChiefsFC) including KCTV.

We will also have interviews with both local radio stations, newspapers to ensure that no one is left behind.

We would really appreciate, for those who can come through, do come. It is all about giving, fun and sharing Amakhosi Experience with our fans from Soweto to Durban!
