The Kaizer Chiefs Legends played to a three-all against the Vaal Legends at Sharpeville’s George Thabe Stadium on Saturday.

It was an entertaining match, which took place in honour of another Amakhosi legend, Simon ‘Bull’ Lehoko. The strong defender played for the Club in the late seventies and early eighties. Before joining Chiefs, Lehoko played for Vaal Professionals. He grew up in Sedibeng.

MacDonald Mukansi scored a brace for Chiefs, while Frank Makua netted once.

Papi Mbele, Lucky Mhlathe and Sailor Tshabalala found the back of the net for the Vaal Legends.

Captain Cyril Nzama and Arthur Zwane regularly caused trouble to the defence of the Vaal Legends with their penetrating runs forward on the right flank. They created several goal scoring opportunities for their teammates.

Lucas Radebe and Nhlanhla Kubeka, meanwhile, did excellently as the central defence pairing, while Tshepo Molatedi did well after coming on.

It was overall a good performance of the Chiefs Legends, who, somewhat unfortunately, had to concede the equaliser in extra time.
