Kaizer Chiefs Reserves striker Andile 'Eto o' Nqabeni scored a brace and the other goal came from Philani Cele as they beat their counterparts SuperSport United by 3-2 at the Groenkloof Campus in Pretoria on Thursday afternoon.

The Technical Team had added three players from the first team to the team that drew with Moroka Swallows on Monday. Lucky Baloyi started in the middle of the park alongside Sandile Mtshali while Sakhile Hlongwa partnered Andile Nqabeni upfront while Nicholas Mynhardt started the proceedings from the bench.

Chiefs were the first to draw blood with Andile Nqabeni scoring with a well taken goal inside the first five minutes of the game. SuperSport drew level via a goal from Edwin Gyman. Then Andile Nqabeni restored his side lead with a beautiful goal.

Chiefs started controlling the game and it was not a surprise when they increased the lead from the penalty spot through the boot of the ever reliable Philani Cele. Chiefs led 3-1 at halftime. In the second half Chiefs continued where they left off in the first half but allowed SuperSport to come back into the game by pulling a goal back.

Jauden Smith did superbly well to deny Tshepo Nkoane three times as SuperSport searched for an equaliser.

The afternoon belonged to Chiefs as they registered their first win after three games played.
