After over a year of Kaizer Chiefs’ retail stores closure due to Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown, Amakhosi’s retail will return to serving customers and supporters physically when they open a pop-up store at the Menlyn Shopping Centre in Pretoria from 27 April to 4 May. The pop-up shop will offer all the sought after merchandise that has been exclusively available online through the KC Digistore for a year.
The store is located at Menlyn’s ‘Cavendish Mini’ and is positioned in the main thoroughfare leading to / from the Taxi rank and the Gautrain Bus depot. It can be found in the Grand Hall on the lower ground floor (near Wimpy and Woolworths).
The idea of opening a pop-up store follows the huge outcry from supporters who have been calling on the Club to reopen retail stores as there are no roadshows or other retail opportunities they are used to. It will offer official Kaizer Chiefs merchandise including the home and away jersey, tracksuits, training tops, etc. We will also offer exclusively licensed Kaizer Chiefs merchandise including t-shirts, hats, caps, scarfs, ties, blankets and other items that can only be found through Kaizer Chiefs retail at affordable prices.
The store will sell KC Mobile starter packs, provide RICA facilities and sell airtime to patrons. The starter pack offers great deals and exclusive competitions to subscribers.
“A lot of work has gone into the opening of the pop-up store and we are happy that our supporters in and around Pretoria can enjoy face-to-face service from our friendly staff,” says Kaizer Chiefs’ Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung. “We urge our supporters to make use of the pop-stores to purchase the KC merchandise and sign up to KC Mobile for exclusive offers.”
Those making purchases over the value of R500 can expect to receive a nice gift from the friendly staff that will be serving them.
The opening of the pop-up shop comes as great news to supporters who since March 2020, have only been able to purchase their favourite Chiefs merchandise through the online platform following the closure of the store at the Village and the one in Tramshed in Pretoria, stadium during games and roadshows. While there are still plans to reopen the store at the Village at a later stage, the Tramshed store was permanently closed.
“The store will carry a selection of limited stock and special offers that are unavailable anywhere else. We would also like to see how the project goes and we will look at other malls around Gauteng and the country as time goes by,” Motaung concludes.
This store allows you to shop at your leisure any time of day or night as it will open from 9am until 8pm from the 27th April to 4th May. The Kaizer Chiefs retail team will make your shopping experience even more exciting than the victory against Sundowns.
It is both easy and safe as the store will accept cash and will have card facilities.
