Kaizer Chiefs Trophy Tour hits Joburg

Kaizer Chiefs Trophy Tour hit the streets of Johannesburg on Tuesday, 28 May 2013 with the players and members of the Management in the open bus.



The full team led by Head Coach, Stuart Baxter and Club captain, Itumeleng Khune waving to hundreds of adoring supporters who were spotting the famous gold and black colours.



First stop was Rissik Street at the Legislature where MEC Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebohang Maile was waiting for the double champions.



Marketing Director Jessica Motaung, Captain Itu Khune and Coach Stuart Baxter presented the MEC with a signed framed champions jersey.



Maile commented; "I would like to congratulate Kaizer Chiefs once more of reclaiming the glory.



"You fought gallantly and you deserve to be champions today - of course Gauteng as the Home of Champions we salute you," added Maile who was joined by members of the legislature.



Jessica Motaung thanked the MEC; "We would like to thank you for you support. We thank you and everyone here for walking the journey with us.



"I must also add that you look good in a Kaizer Chiefs t-shirt. " added Motaung jokingly.



Stuart Baxter once more paid tribute to the colourful Club's faithful; "It is a beautiful sight I see here this morning, passionate supporters in full voice wearing the Gold and Black.



"Family sticks together in good and bad times and that is what you have done in the past eight years.



A visible jubilant Captain, Itumeleng Khune thanked the supporters who some had taken time off from work to join the Trophy Parade thanked the supporters; "The two trophies are for you - you deserve it,"
