The Chairman had an opportunity earlier to meet his Management and Staff members who had flocked to his boardroom where he was going to cut his cake.
“I will not reveal my birthday wish to you,” he told everyone who had gathered in his boardroom earlier on the day.
“However, it is good to know that at 65, I still have people who love me. I want to thank you very much for this gesture. It means a lot to me. With Bheki (Shongwe) taking over as the MD of the company, I think I am going to be able to recruit most of you here to join the Kaizer Chiefs Choir,” said the Chairman who was obviously impressed by the voices of his members of staff who sang from the top of their lungs as they wished him a very happy birthday.
The team also played their part with captain, Jimmy Tau presenting a card to the Chairman, “This is our way to show our appreciation for what you have done for us,” said Tau.
“I want to thank you for this, but my wish is that the team brings all the points in Pretoria tomorrow (Saturday). That would be the best present for me,” said the Chairman with a smile.
