The Amakhosi medical team is positive Kannemeyer could recover well in time ahead of the Super Cup clash. "It was a minor accident and he had a whiplash," said team physiotherapist David Milner.
"But we are testing him today (Tuesday) and I am sure he will be fine."
Bad news for young defender Nhlanhla Kubeka who is still recovering from a groin injury. The youngster will not return to action for another three weeks.
Striker Daniel Matsau returned to training but sadly picked up another injury that will keep him out of the training ground for two weeks. Matsau is expected to return to Premier League action some time next season.
