After missing out on the 2-1 victory over SuperSport United this past Wednesday night due to suspension, Willard Katsande returns into the Kaizer Chiefs starting XI to face Madagascar’s Elgeco Plus in the CAF Confederation Cup first round clash.
Katsande is part of the changes from the victory over SuperSport United as he comes in to replace goal hero and captain for the night, George Maluleka, who sits out due to a hamstring injury.
Teenage Hadebe is the other change who comes in to replace Kgotso Moleko, although he will slot in at centre-back while Daniel Cardoso shifts over to right-back.
Virgil Vries will continue in goal while Itumeleng Khune continues his recovery from a cut hand.
Ernst Middendorp has kept faith with the Chiefs squad that delivered in midweek. The Glamour Boys will be looking to take a healthy lead in the first leg clash while the away leg in Madagascar beckons.
A moment of silence will be observed for Eketsang Setloboko. The referee who hails from Mount Fletcher, Eastern Cape referee died in a car accident on Friday, 14 December.
