Doctor Khumalo and Walter Steenbok were on Tuesday awarded certificates by South African Football Association after successfully completing their SAFA Level II courses.

Level II is currently the highest qualification offered by South African Football Association.

Doctor Khumalo speaking to kaizechiefs.com on Thursday expressed his excitement for completing the course.

“I can’t wait for the introduction of SAFA Level III course,” said a visibly delighted Khumalo who already holds UEFA B License from England and UEFA B from Germany.

“I attended together with colleague (Walter Steenbok) and completed Phase Three last year December. It is all about hard work and I am glad that finally I have my certificate,” he said.

“The course focused Theory of Football, Theory of Training, Team Leadership and Psychology of Coaching, Research Work, Oral Examination, Match Practice, Laws of the Game and Sports Medicine II. The course was very advanced and intensive. I am now looking at going for UEFA Pro License in Europe,” added Khumalo.

Meanwhile, Doctor revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that preparations are at an advanced stage for the Engen U-17 Tournament to be played at Marks Park from the 17th to the 19th July 2009.

“The boys are looking forward to it. We identified a good defender during the trials that were held last weekend and he will be given an opportunity to show what he can offer. Results for us are not primary but preparing players for the senior team. These boys can surprise you though as they always play to win which is good for them,” he concluded.

Public Relations Manager, Thebe Mohatle has urged Kaizer Chiefs faithful to rally behind the young Amakhosi during the Engen Tournament.
