Former Amakhosi legend and coach of the Chiefs U-17 team Doctor Khumalo believes that four of his players selected by national u-17 team coach Solly Luvhengo to be part of a 20 man team who will travel to Argentina to play in a three exhibition games the South American nation will benefit greatly from the experience.



Defenders Nkululeko Tshangane and Lorenzo Gordinho as well as midfielder Maselaelo Seanego and striker Thabani Mthembu, will leave South Africa on Wednesday with the rest of the team for the two week tour and Khumalo is pleased that they will get some vital international experience.



The Chiefs legend told kaizerchiefs.com, “touring Argentina will be a good experience for these youngsters and at this young and tender age to be playing against teams who display a high level of tactical and technical ability will help them grow as players.”

The South African U-17 team affectionately known as ‘Amajimbos’ will take on the youth teams of Argentinos Junior and Boca Juniors on September 25 2010 and September 29 respectively, their game will be against the Argentina Under 17 National team on October 2.

Playing against teams who have produced some of the world’s best players can only be inspirational for the young Chiefs quartet according to Khumalo, “playing against the youth team of Argentinos Junior whose youth programme once had Diego Maradona as a resident will be a good motivation for these boys. Visiting grounds where Maradona and Roman Riquelme and other greats played on as young players will help guide our boys aspire to follow down their path and become influential players for Chiefs in the future.”
