El Capitan and goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, returned to full training on Wednesday after missing the last two games due to a head injury.

‘Spider Kid’, as Khune is affectionately known in football circles, worked with Goalkeeper Coach Rainer Dinkelacker, with the Team Physio revealing that the player will be continually assessed.

The return of one of the Club’s favourite sons and Captain will serve as a boost to the team ahead of the tricky Nedbank quarterfinal tie against Free State Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

“He is back training for the first time today (Wednesday). We will continue assessing him throughout the week before deciding on whether to join the group travelling to Polokwane on Friday,” said Milner.

Meanwhile, striker Amidu Abbas is being assessed after aggravating his previous quadriceps injury in training on Monday. The player, who joined the Glamour Boys in January, is yet to make an official debut for the team but has been getting regular action in the Reserve League.
