Kaizer Chiefs young goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has once again been called up to the South African Under twenty-three team by coach Steve Komphela.

Komphela first called up Khune when Amaglug glug played a two match series against Uganda in September although he did not see any match action then.

Khune was also part of the team when they played against their counterparts from the Ivory Coast in a two match challenge in October.

The young Chiefs player came on as substitute in the first game late in the second half with score at 2-2.

He then played the next game which South Africa won 1-0 and kept a clean sheet on that occasion, Khune travels with Amaglug glug for another game with the Ivorian's which will be played this Saturday the 12th November in the Ivory Coast capital Abidjan.

Khune who is presently busy with his grade twelve examinations was given off to do duty for his country after SAFA and the school were able to come to a compromise as to when the player would be back.

Khune’s examination time-table worked in his favour, which also made the process for him to travel to the Ivory Coast easy.

Khune will be joined by his former team-mate in the Kaizer Chiefs Juniors and current Kaizer Chiefs under 19 defender Stephen Faber who receives his first call up to the National Under twenty three team.
