Itumeleng Khune won’t start in this afternoon’s Soweto Derby. The goalkeeper re-injured his knee during training on Thursday. He will be going for surgery this coming week to repair a torn meniscus (cartilage) in the knee.
Khune will be replaced in goal by Brilliant Khuzwayo.
Meanwhile, coach Steve Komphela has decided to continue with Hendrick ‘Pule’ Ekstein in the starting line-up. The young midfielder performed brilliantly in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Golden Arrows.
Siboniso Gaxa returns to the starting XI, relegating Kgotso Moleko, who played against Arrows, to the bench. Camaldine Abraw is also back in the team.
Bernard Parker and Reneilwe Letsholonyane, however, start on the bench.
