Eric ‘Tower’ Mathoho saw a doctor on Sunday following the injury he sustained on Friday, 26 October against Maritzburg United, Kaizer Chiefs Team Physio Dave Milner revealed to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday afternoon.

The towering defender had to be substituted in the 87th minute (he was replaced by Lincoln Zvasiya) after he appeared to have landed awkwardly on his shoulder during the away game. “Eric will be under assessment during the course of the week to determine the extent of the injury; Milner added.

“Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala) was also seen and was given a green light to commence with light training,” added Milner.

Siphiwe Tshabalala missed the trip to Maritzburg after getting a knock in the 3-2 loss to Bidvest Wits in the Telkom Knockout first round.

Chiefs’s next game is on Tuesday, 06 November 2012 at the Polokwane’ s Peter Mokaba Stadium against Golden Arrows. Kick-off is at 19:30.
