Kaizer Chiefs’ medical team has confirmed that Emmanuel Letlotlo tore a muscle attached to the hip bone. The young striker came on as an 81st minute substitute replacing Lucky Baloyi in the MTN8 quarterfinal. Minutes after coming on in that 1-0 loss last Friday, Letlotlo was caught by a Cape Town City player on his hip and agonisingly fell to the ground.

Letlotlo will be out of action for the next three weeks due to the muscle injury.

The PSL is at present on a Fifa-break. Amakhosi will return to action on Wednesday, 14 September, against Platinum Stars in an Absa Premiership fixture.
