“I feel great,” the soft-spoken Emmanuel ‘Adebayor’ Letlotlo commented after receiving the MultiChoice Diski Challenge’s Top Goalscorer award. “Winning this trophy will encourage me to work even harder.”
Letlotlo scored 9 goals in 15 MDC-matches this season to win the prize at the 2015/16 PSL’s awards event held at the Emperors Palace on Monday night. The MultiChoice Diski League (MDC) is the PSL’s reserve league.
“I wish to thank my teammates and the coaches at the academy,” the young Kaizer Chiefs striker reacted graciously. “To score goals you need a good supply from your teammates and this couldn’t have happened without the team effort.”
George Lebese, meanwhile, came close to the podium for his scintillating performance in the MTN8 and was nominated for the Last Man Standing, the best player of the tournament. The award eventually went, posthumously, to Ajax Cape Town’ Cecil Lolo.
