Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane is in the process of rehabilitation to get back to action. The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder started feeling pain in his knee about a month ago when the team was preparing for the CAF Champions League match against Volcan Club de Moroni in the Comoros.

Letsholonyane is on his way back to full fitness according to the Club’s medical team: “We are taking it step-by-step to ensure that he recovers completely. The duration of this rehabilitation process differs from one player to another. The injury and the extent of it also have an impact on the time that a player is out. It’s important that a player has fully recovered before playing again in a competitive match.”

The 33-year-old is currently talking with the Amakhosi about a contract extension, as his contract expires at the end of this season.

“We are in negotiations with Yeye,” reveals Chiefs’ Football Manager Bobby Motaung amidst media speculations. “We will make announcements on all player movements in due course.”
