Stuart Baxter believes that the Macufe Cup is another opportunity for the team. Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Friday morning from the Club’s training grounds; “Macufe is an opportunity for the whole squad. We will field players that are looking for game time to show their readiness to take up regular places in the squad. In the absence of the eight players that are away on national duty, we will be looking at many possibilities and using the game to see some of the development players in a game situation.”

The Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach went on to say; “The Fifa Week break is not a problem but a challenge that we have to face. We will use the game to gather information about the players as well as implementing some tactical measures during the game. We hope to play good football on the day as a way of appreciating the support that we receive from the fans. We are looking forward to a great atmosphere at the Free State stadium on Sunday”

If the spirit at the training grounds is anything to go by, Amakhosi looks like a team on a mission to Reclaiming the Glory!

Macufe Cup game takes place on Sunday, 14 October 2012 at the Free State Stadium, kick-off is at 15:00.
