Striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro told kaizerchiefs.com that he was eager to make an impression in his first major tournament since turning professional.

The Free State born striker made the squad against all odds. He started the season at Club level as third choice striker with teammates Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha leading the frontline but turned his season around by scoring eight goals and is now one goal behind his teammate, Bernard Parker who is PSL’s joint leading goal scorer.

“I set myself goals before the start of the season. It’s the goals I set for myself that have been a driving force behind and wind beneath my wings,” said the player that has made Ivorian Gervinho’s goal celebration famous this season.

He was at it again in December as he scored his first goal in the Bafana Bafana colours; “It was one of the proud moments in my career scoring my first goal in first start for my country."

"People always told me that I have the potential to go and ply my trade in Europe but I need to believe that first and work hard at Club level. I am excited to be part of this group of players and we want to give it all to win the tournament."

“I am hoping to do well during the tournament. We need to work as a team and push ourselves as a unit & as individuals. There will to do well is visible in this team and we are all committed to go a full distance,” added Majoro.
