Striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro has warned his former teammates at AmaZulu to be ready for a ‘determined’ Kaizer Chiefs team when they travel to Durban this weekend.
The Glamour Boys suffered a setback losing Carling Black Label Cup against Orlando Pirates and were knocked out of MTN8 by Mamelodi Sundowns last Sunday something that did not go well with the multitude of Amakhosi faithful.
“The game against Sundowns is water under the bridge and all of us are focused on the upcoming assignment against AmaZulu,” said Lehlohonolo Majoro speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Tuesday afternoon.
“We know what is expected from us as individuals and as a team. Our fans are expecting us to bounce back against AmaZulu and this is what we are focusing on currently. The moral in the team is understandably low and it is normal when you lose a game. The encouraging thing is that this team has a belief and we all want to change things around.
“One of the reasons personally I joined the Club was because of the rich history to win trophies and we need to continue with this tradition. We want to contribute to the history of the Club and not to be remembered as the Class that did not bring success to the team.
Majoro as a former AmaZulu player revealed that he was not expecting hostile reception from the fans. “I had a very good relationship with the fans and I am not expecting any jeers from the stands. I will forever be grateful in the manner the fans treated me while there.
“I am a Chiefs player now and the upcoming game against AmaZulu can never be as important for us. We want to start the Absa Premiership on a high note and that means we will have to go out and beat AmaZulu.
The game will kick off at 18:00 at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
