George Maluleka has recovered from his thigh muscle strain and is back in Kaizer Chiefs’ starting line-up to face Bidvest Wits in the Telkom Knockout semi-final at Bidvest Stadium this afternoon.
As a result of the injury, ‘Mido’ missed out on the 1-0 win over Chippa United in the quarterfinal. The midfielder has shown fine form this season, receiving the Man of the Match award in the Telkom Knockout Last 16, when Amakhosi beat AmaZulu 3-0. Maluleka scored the opening goal in that encounter.
Wiseman Meyiwa replaced ‘Mido’ in the cup fixture against Chippa. He has kept his place, as coach Steve Komphela has decided to leave out Hendrick Ekstein for the semi-final clash against the Clever Boys.
For the rest, Amakhosi’s line-up is the same as it was for the quarterfinal.
