Tsepo Masilela was in the scintillating form when Chiefs marked their 2014/15 season opener with a hard fought win over Free Stats Stars in wet weather conditions in Qwaqwa.
Masilela looking sleek and sharper mastered the left flank with aplomb.
The fullback expressed his feelings modestly after the game.
He said, "The most important thing is the three points. The accolade is just a cherry on top. We wanted to come back with a win, that's what makes me happy."
About his good shape?
"I had great pre-season preparation after I enjoyed a good rest in the off-season. At the end it all boils down to hard work. I am still the old Tsepo except that I have shed a bit of weight."
Chiefs dominated a defensive Stars for the better part of the game. Lebese settled it with a tap in, in the 55th minute.
