Kaizer Chiefs tricky midfielder Mandla Masango came on for Ayanda Patosi, who plays for Lokeren in Belgium, helping Bafana Bafana to beat Swaziland 3-1 in a friendly in Mbabane last night.
Masango came on in the 60th minute and netted the goal that sealed the match 26th minutes later.
The goal followed a beautiful volley from Masango against Ghana during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea in January. The goal was earmarked as a potential goal of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune played in the first half against Swaziland, keeping a clean sheet before being substituted for Mpumalanga Black Aces goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane.
Khune was making his return to the Bafana set-up after a long absence due to injury. It was the Chiefs goalkeeper’s first match under coach Shakes Mashaba.
Bafana will host the Super Eagles at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday (kick-off at 15:30).
