Mandla ‘Bullet’ Masango believes that Amakholsi need to be calmer in the final 3rd next season if they are to stand up and counted come end of the season in May 2013.

The Glamour Boys report back to the Village on Tuesday, 26 June for testing and will start training under the tutelage of new Coach, Stuart Baxter on Thursday, 28 June 2012.

They will be hoping to put behind 2011/2012 season that saw the Club not bringing a single trophy to the Village despite a promising start in the league and MTN8.

Masango believes Chiefs need to be deadly in front of goals and that the responsibility to score cannot be left to strikers only. “It is not only strikers that need to score. All 11 players can score, even the keeper.

“I think we need to work hard in the final third because even last season we created lot of chances but rushed and made wrong decisions. I think if we can be bit calmer and composed in the final third and try place shots and not shoot wildly it will make difference.

“I mean if you look at guys like Messi, he is calm in the box and makes scoring look easy. We also need to more on sharing the ball in the final third,” he said.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon the Mpumalanga born midfielder said he was looking forward joining his teammates for the preseason. “I have been working in the gym during off season as we were all handed programs to work on.

“I feel refreshed and like everyone I am looking forward to the preseason. We need to put all that happened last season behind us and work hard to win things next season,” added Masango.
