Mashamaite makes Bafana Bafana debut

Tefu Mashamaite made his debut as Bafana Bafana beat neighbours, Lesotho by 2-0 in front of a capacity crowd in Maseru, Lesotho on Sunday, 2 June 2013.



'Masha' who has been outstanding for the Glamour Boys was rewarded with a call up from Gordon Igesund.



Mashamaite replaced his club teammate Eric Mathoho in the 46th minute. Mashamaite did not put his foot wrong as he kept Lesotho strikers at bay and inspiring Bafana to a cleansheet.



'Tower' who was making his fourth Bafana appearance was playing for the first time since Igesund took over.



Tshabalala who created the first of two goals for Tlou Segolela played 82 minutes before being replaced by Thandani Ntshumayelo.



Bernard Parker was unlucky not to score on the day with his free kick hitting a post in the first half and his goal bound shot being cleared off the line in the second half.



There was no place for a suspended Reneilwe Letsholonyane and skipper, Itumeleng Khune who were rested following a superb season with the Phefeni Glamour Boys.



The two are expected to be back for Saturday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic in Cameroon.
