Tsepo Masilela insisted after the 2-0 defeat away to Platinum Stars that the Glamour Boys will bounce back.

The former Getafe defender was handed his first start in the gold and black jersey and impressed with his runs going forward. He was also solid at the back despite Amakhosi suffering their first loss of the season.

“We will bounce back, winners always do,” said Masilela speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the proceedings.

“It was a tough game and we need to congratulate Platinum Stars for the job well done. We need to go back to the drawing board and rectify our mistakes. We are of course disappointed to lose this game but as you can see the spirit and belief of the group is still high.

Siphiwe Tshabalala who combined well with Masilela added; “We were brought down to earth. We need to take this defeat as professionals. We know what we did not do well in this game. It was just one of those games where things did not really worked out for us.

“We continued to fight in the second half but we could not break down Stars defence. It was also encouraging to see the fans cheering the team up. No one wants to lose the game and we understand their pain.

“We have Ajax Cape Town coming up for us in what is going to be a tough month. We see this defeat as a hiccup not the end of a dream,” added Tshabalala.
