FNB STADIUM – SATURDAY, 5 APRIL 2014


More than 40 000 spectators are expected at the FNB Stadium. Kickoff is at 20:15 and gates will be opened at 5pm and fans are advised to arrive early at the stadium, before 18H00, to be seated 2 hours before kickoff, there will be Pre-match entertainment.



FNB Stadium will be buzzing on Saturday with entertainment coming from the DJ stand. Lyrical poet and Kalawa Jazmee’s songstress Busiswa and her dancers will entertain the crowd on match day. We will also have our flag bearers on hand to raise the flag for the Mighty Amakhosi.



There will SAPS and JMPD enforced road closures from 3pm in the outer NASREC precinct, no vehicle access permits - no entry. There will be no parking ticket sales at the Stadium on match day; tickets will only be sold at the Nasrec Expo Centre parking at entrance 5, 6, 7 and 8. Tickets will be sold at the Expo Centre on Ring road and also at Computicket at a cost of R20 for all makes of vehicles. (PARKING TICKETS CAN BE BOUGHT at COMPUTICKET FIRST)



Illegal parking will be strictly regulated by Gauteng Traffic Police, JMPD and other Law Enforcement Agencies, Offending vehicles will be towed away. The public who are not attending the match are requested to avoid the entire NASREC precinct between 3pm and 23h00. Avoid traffic congestion and missing the start of this very special match. Public transportation will be the main form of transport to the FNB Stadium; The will be strict traffic law enforcement, heavy Police and Traffic presence. Weapons, drunken spectators, Bottles and Smoking are prohibited. Motorists are advised not to be directed to illegal parking areas by illegal car guards.



Recommended Routes to Stadium



General public approach the stadium from South via Randshow road, access off the N1 and M1 North and South. VVIP, VIP and Hospitality ticket holders approach from the North via the N17, from South via Soweto highway (access off the N1 south) and from East via Rand Show Road (Access off the N12 South).



We urge drivers to use the following routes as alternative:



(a) Main reef road from JHB CBD towards Soweto via New Canada road and towards Roodepoort.



(b) M1 south to JHB south, Eldorado and other surrounding areas but avoid the Nasrec off-ramp.



(c) The N12 west towards Soweto, Chris Hani Baragwanath road, Carltonville and Zuurbekom.



(d) From north use the N1 south avoid Soweto/Nasrec/Diepkloof interchange offramp proceed straight on the N1 south.
