Kaizer Chiefs travel to the capital city to visit Mamelodi Sundowns in the top of the table Absa Premiership clash this afternoon. “It is hyped up and the opponents have been talking a lot about this match,” says coach Ernst Middendorp ahead of the 15:30 sold out affair. “it is no doubt going to be a tough match for both sides. We are just happy to be part of this highlighted fixture.”
Chiefs will walk through the tunnel of Loftus Versfeld Stadium with tails wagging high up. The Glamour Boys are on a roll of three wins in a row. “If Parker and Baccus don’t make it on time to play a part this afternoon, we have a plan for that,” says Middendorp without revealing his recipe. “We will have equally capable players who will plug in the positions. The formation and approach will remain constant because every player in the squad is equipped and understands the philosophy. So, we are set and ready.”
Itumeleng Khune is still out recovering from a groin injury. While Nkosingiphile Ngcobo played in the Reserves side on Saturday, indicative of making a steady return after recovering from an Achilles injury.
