Kaizer Chiefs has received a huge boost ahead of the Telkom quarter final clash against Free State Stars on Saturday with news that midfield-cum striker, Dominic Mateba is a free agent and available for selection.

Mateba joined Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the season but Orlando Pirates claimed he was their player.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com, a delighted Football Manager, Bobby Motaung said he was glad the nightmare is over for the player and now he can focus on his football after being declared a free agent by the Premier Soccer League.

“From the Club’s point of view, we are very happy for the player. He has been raring to go for a while now and it is now up to him to show his hunger at training,” he said.

Mateba who joined from Sicilians in the second division has signed a three-year contract with the Club and will now be registered with the league.
