Chris Matombo and Zitha Macheke will go on loan with Chippa United next season. “We want them to get game time and exposure,” explains Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung about the one-year loan deal.

Matombo and Macheke didn’t feature in an official first team game last season, but they are both talented and have a bright future ahead of them. Macheke is a 21-year-old defender, while Matombo, also 21, is a midfielder.

“They need to play to gain experience,” Motaung adds, “like Lucky Baloyi, who went on loan to Moroka Swallows last season, even captaining the team.”

“We are happy that Chippa came on board for both talents.”
